What is LocalGrow?
LocalGrow is an online agricultural knowledgebase and community. We provide tools to connect gardeners, farmers, and consumers, and to facilitate the exchange of locally-relevant growing information and regional produce.

Information-Driven
We started LocalGrow because we wanted to create a central, standardized way to find gardening information online. We also wanted this knowledgebase to be driven by the community, with contributions from expert gardeners and farmers everywhere. This led to the development of "WikiGrow", our own growing-specific wiki, which is designed to present a huge amount of information in a simple, clean way. |

Commerce on LocalGrow
We designed the online marketplace to offer complete transparency between vendors and consumers. We also built it to be scalable so it would be useful to our members no matter where they were located. This way the marketplace supports local commerce without limiting our community to major cities or specific areas. |
